The present invention relates to a plug for placement into an anal canal between a rectum having a rectal neck bottom and an external anal surface, the plug comprising (a) elastically stretchable stem portion (b) a cupped or flat soft disc-shaped anchoring element carried on a distal end of said elastically stretchable stem portion and (c) a cupped or flat soft disc-shaped biasing element carried on a proximal end of said elastically stretchable stem portion.
