A pharmaceutical composition comprising nanoparticles comprising at least one pharmacologically active agent, at least one poly (ethylene carbonate) and optionally pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 in the form of a suspension of nanoparticles. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 or 2, which is a composition for parenteral administration. The suspension of claim 10, in which the poly (ethylene carbonate) has at least one of the following characteristics: (a) the content of ethylene carbonate is from 70 to 100 mol. %, (b) the intrinsic viscosity is from 0.4 to1.
