PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil deterioration detection device that can highly accurately detect deterioration of oil even when the oil is not in oil tightness.SOLUTION: An oil deterioration device has: an oil storage part in which oil containing additives is stored; a member that has an insulator part causing occurrence of oil friction between the oil to be stored in the oil storage unit and the member; an electrode that is arranged in the vicinity of the insulator part, and is grounded. The additives are adsorbed to the insulator part to thereby reduce a floating charge of the insulator part due to fluid friction. When an amount of additive adsorbed to the insulator part falls, the insulator part undergoes the floating charge, and a charge flows to a grounded part from the electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
