PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pet food having excellent digestive and absorptive properties, and being capable of improving intestinal environment of a pet and suppressing bad smell due to feces.SOLUTION: A pet food of the present invention comprises formed products made of a pet food ingredient having a particle diameter of over 150 &mu；m at a 30 mass% or less of particle content ratio and a particle diameter of over 350 &mu；m at a 10 mass% or less of particle content ratio. The formed products comprises an additive comprising Bacillus subtilis C-3102 strain as an active ingredient. As a preferable embodiment of the pet food of the present invention, exemplified is a product in which the additive is applied on surface of a precursor of the formed product comprising no additive.【課題】消化吸収性に優れ、ペットの腸内環境を改善し、糞便に起因する悪臭を抑制し得るペットフードを提供すること。【解決手段】本発明のペットフードは、粒径が１５０μｍを超える粒子の含有割合が３０質量％以下で且つ粒径が３５０μｍを超える粒子の含有割合が１０質量％以下であるペットフード用原料の成形体を含んで構成され、該成形体が、バチルス・サブチルスＣ－３１０２株を有効成分とする添加物を含む。本発明のペットフードの好ましい一実施形態として、前記添加物を含まない前記成形体の前駆体の表面に、該添加物を付与してなるものが挙げられる。【選択図】なし
