PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium bicarbonate powder which is excellent in solidification-proof properties, in solubility, storing properties and handling properties, and is easy to use, and pharmaceuticals using this sodium bicarbonate, especially a powder B agent for dialysis.
SOLUTION: When particle size distribution is measured by a screening method, the sodium bicarbonate has the following composition particles having a size (1) not passing through 300 &mum opening is less than 1%, (2) passing through 250 &mum opening and not passing 106 &mum opening is 65% or more, and (3) passing through 75 &mum opening is less than 15%. The sodium bicarbonate is filled in a medical purpose film bag to give the powder B agent for an artificial dialysis. The powder B agent for the artificial dialysis and an A agent for the dialysis are combined to give a combination preparation for the artificial dialysis.
