PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type blade work machine which enables a user to easily conduct visual check of a rear part of a blade part and a front area of the blade part from a position of an operator who operates a control handle.SOLUTION: A walking type blade work machine includes: a control handle 10； a machine body frame 11 supporting the control handle 10； a pair of left and right crawler travel devices 12 supporting the machine body frame 11； a blade part 13 supported by the machine body frame 11 in front of the crawler travel devices 12； an electric motor 21 which drives the crawler travel devices 12； and a power transmission mechanism 22 which transmits a driving force transmitted from the electric motor 21 to the crawler travel devices 12.
