PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for cell transplantation, capable of the pattern cultivation of cells, capable of functionalizing cells for expression of functions, etc., and capable of transplanting the functionalized cells to an object for implantation without rejection and a cell transplantation instrument using the member for cell transplantation.
SOLUTION: The member for cell transplantation is composed of a cell cultivation membrane made of a cell cultivation substrate having a cell functionalization layer on at least one surface, and a fixing part for retaining the flatness of the cell cultivation membrane when cells are cultivated and when cells are transplanted. The cell cultivation membrane and the fixing part are made of biocompatible materials.
