PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant production system which can sufficiently supply light at a favorable wavelength according to the growth of the plant while reducing the energy for producing the plant, a production cost, environmental loads or the like.SOLUTION: The light subjected to a wavelength conversion by a wavelength conversion optical plate 3 is irradiated on a reflecting prism 5 from an end part in a plane direction thereof and further, is supplied to a plant 7 arranged on the lower surface side by a reflection film 15 of the reflecting prism 5 so that the energy for producing the plant 7, the production cost and the environmental loads or the like are largely reduced. In fact, since approximately 70% of the sunlight irradiated from the upper surface of the wavelength conversion optical plate 3 is focused in the end part side in the plane direction of the wavelength conversion optical plate 3, the sunlight is extremely effectively used by supplying to the plant 7 through the reflecting prism 5 from the end part in the plane direction of the wavelength conversion optical plate 3.【課題】植物を生産するためのエネルギー、生産コスト、環境負荷等を低減できるとともに、植物の成長によって好ましい波長の光を十分に供給することができる植物生産システムを提供すること。【解決手段】波長変換光学板３で波長変換された光は、その平面方向の端部から反射プリズム５に照射され、更に、反射プリズム５の反射膜１５によって、下面側に配置された植物７に供給されるので、植物７を生産するためのエネルギー、生産コスト、環境負荷等を大きく低減することができる。つまり、波長変換光学板３の上面から照射された太陽光は、波長変換光学板３の平面方向の端部側に約７０％集光されるので、波長変換光学板３の平面方向の端部から反射プリズム５を介して植物７に光を供給することにより、太陽光を極めて効率良く利用できる。【選択図】図１
