PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical suturing device.SOLUTION: The surgical suturing device comprises: an arced needle including a length of suture； an elongate shaft having a proximal end and a distal end； a needle driver mounted to the distal end of the elongate shaft, operable to engage and rotate the needle in a circular path, and reciprocating between a drive stoke in which the needle is rotated and a return stroke； an actuator mounted to the proximal end of the elongate shaft； a drive rod in the elongate shaft operably connected to the needle driver； and a mechanical linkage connecting the actuator to the drive rod and comprising a force limiting spring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
