PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable ultraviolet light irradiation device capable of reducing irradiation of ultraviolet light to regions other than a necessary region.SOLUTION: An ultraviolet light irradiation device includes: a housing having a light emitting surface emitting ultraviolet light a plurality of sensors arrayed so as to be able to detect a contact position of an object with the light emitting surface a plurality of ultraviolet light sources arrayed inside the housing so as to emit the ultraviolet light toward the light emitting surface and a control circuit associating each of the plurality of ultraviolet light sources with the contact position detected by the plurality of sensors. When the sensors detect contact of the object with the light emitting surface, the control circuit lights the ultraviolet light sources associated with the contact position detected by the sensors, and the ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet light sources is emitted from the light emitting surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
