PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffin which allows not only the face but also the whole of a dead body to be seen without removing a lid and makes the dead body beautiful to look.SOLUTION: The coffin comprises a coffin body 1 with an open top and a lid 2 for closing the open top of the coffin body 1. The lid 2 is formed to be transparent. On the rear surface of the lid 2, there is provided a light source 4 for illuminating a dead body 3 housed in the coffin body 1. The coffin body 1 is formed in the state of a shallow bottom.
