A Process of Hastening Germination of Benguet Lily (Lilium philippinensis) Seeds comprising the steps of: collecting seeds from matured seed pods, sorting of seeds as to their sizes and viability, placing collected seeds in transparent plastic boxes for air drying, air drying of seeds for 14 days, placing the medium made of alnus leaves compost on the plastic trays, placing air dried seeds on the medium, spraying water with the use of an atomizer to the medium and seeds, stratifying the seeds in the vegetable compartment of refrigerator for 14 days at a temperature of 5oC, regular misting with water to keep the medium moist until the seeds have germinated, transplanting of seedlings when 3-4 leaves is produced into seedling trays with alnus leaves compost as growing medium, regular watering until seedling establishment, and transplanting of seedlings when they are one month old to their permanent planting locations.
