A disposable absorbent undergarment is disclosed. It includes an absorbent assembly comprising a core formed of a synthetic tow or of synthetic nonwoven layers and having first section comprising a slow acting but high absorption capacity SAP and a second section comprising a fast acting but lower absorption capacity SAP, all of which is wrapped in a wrapper to hold the SAP in place. The absorbent assembly may be quilted and corrugated. The undergarment also includes releasably securable fasteners to enable it to be readily removed and a suspension system to ensure that the garment fits properly and doesnt leak even when holding a large amount of exudate. Odor removal/masking and treatment features may be provided. It addition the undergarment may include a wetness indicator.Linvention concerne un sous-vêtement absorbant jetable qui est constitué dun ensemble absorbant comprenant un noyau fait dune étoupe ou de couches synthétiques non tissées et contenant une première section comprenant un polymère superabsorbant (SAP) à action lente mais à capacité dabsorption élevée et une seconde section comprenant un SAP à action rapide mais à capacité dabsorption inférieure, le tout étant enveloppé dans une enveloppe pour tenir le SAP en place. Lensemble absorbant peut être matelassé et ondulé. Le sous-vêtement comporte également des attaches à fixation amovible pour lui permettre dêtre facilement retiré, et un système de suspension pour garantir le maintien correct du sous-vêtement et labsence de fuite lorsquil absorbe une grande quantité de matière liquide. Le sous-vêtement selon linvention peut comporter des éléments permettant déliminer/de masquer et de traiter les odeurs, et peut également comporter un indicateur de saturation.
