PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which, even if it is deformed in a worn condition, moisture releasing property in an article width direction by a surface sheet is excellently maintained, and stuffy condition is hardly generated.SOLUTION: In a complex sheet 10, a first sheet 1 and a second sheet 2 are partially joined to form a plurality of joint parts 31, 32. The first sheet 1 projects in a direction away from the second sheet 2 at non-joint parts with the second sheet 2 to form a plurality of projections 40 projecting toward a skin side of a wearer. The complex sheet 10 has a first direction X and a second direction Y orthogonal to the first direction X. In the first direction X, a non-embossed region N which extends in the second direction Y and comprises no successive joint parts in the second direction Y and an embossed region E which extends in the second direction Y and on which the joint parts are formed in a regular pattern are alternately formed. The successive projections 40 successively extending in the second direction Y are formed in the non-embossed region N.
