According to some examples, a methodfor Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imagemodification includes receiving an OCT image of a region ofinterest of patient tissue from an OCT imaging systemconfigured to direct an OCT beam at the region ofinterest and determining that an OCT transparentinstrument is within the OCT image. The method furtherincludes detecting an artifact in the OCT image, theartifact resulting from the OCT transparent instrumentbeing within a path of the OCT beam. In response todetecting the artifact, the method further includes creatingan image modification plan to remove the artifact fromthe OCT image. The method further includes executingthe image modification plan to remove the artifact fromthe OCT image.
