This invention directed to a computer tomography imaging apparatus designed for dental use as well as to methods realizable by it, especially to a method for relative positioning of the imaging means and the patient for imaging. A relevant feature of the computer tomography imaging device according to the invention is an arm construction consisting of turnable arm parts. The use of the construction enables implementation of, particularly, a so-called Cone Beam computer tomography apparatus (CBCT) as lighter, and more inexpensive realization of it, than has been the case regarding CT devices of prior art, especially when thinking of their use in odontology.L’invention concerne un dispositif d’imagerie tomographique assistée par ordinateur conçue pour des applications dentaires, ainsi que des procédés permettant de le mettre en œuvre, notamment un procédé de positionnement relatif d’un moyen d’imagerie et d’un patient à imager. Le dispositif d’imagerie tomographique assistée par ordinateur de l’invention est caractérisé par une structure à bras constituée de parties de bras rotatives. La structure permet notamment la mise en œuvre d’un mode de réalisation d’un dispositif de tomographie par faisceau conique assistée par ordinateur (CBCT) plus léger et moins onéreux que les dispositifs de tomographie assistée par ordinateur de la technique antérieure, notamment dans le cadre d’applications odontologiques.
