A peptide according to the present invention has a simple structure compared to existing natural human erythropoietin, thus being able to easily pass through a tissue-blood barrier, has excellent bioactivity with respect to cell-protecting activity, has a low manufacturing cost, thus being economically advantageous, and does not have side effects on cell proliferation. Accordingly, a pharmaceutical composition containing the erythropoietin-derived peptide according to the present invention as an active ingredient may be usefully used for preventing or treating cell damage-related illnesses, such as stroke, mechanical damage or ischemic damage to the nervous system, myocardial infarction, retinal damage, and diabetes, and as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing cell damage.La présente invention concerne un peptide présentant une structure simple comparée à l'érythropoïétine humaine d'origine naturelle, permettant ainsi de passer facilement à travers une barrière tissulaire-sanguine, présente une excellente bioactivité vis-à-vis de l'activité de protection des cellules, présente un faible coût de fabrication, étant ainsi économiquement avantageux, et n'ayant pas d'effets secondaires sur la prolifération cellulaire.
