The present invention discloses a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence identical to at least 12 contiguous amino acid residues in SEQ ID NO: 2. The polypeptide according to the present invention is effective against fungi, particularly fungi causing plant diseases, and fungi colonizing agricultural products. The present invention further discloses a process for producing the polypeptide and a nucleic acid encoding the polypeptide.
