According to the present invention, the method for preventing or treating the infectious disease due to the pathogenic colon bacillus using the bacteriophage EC14 has very high specificity on an avian pathogenic colon bacillus included in the pathogenic colon bacillus, specifically, the enterotoxigenic E. coli in comparison with existing chemicals such as antibiotics. Also, the bacteriophage EC14 is strong on physicochemical stimulation and has excellent bacteriolytic activity by being increased in bacteria following infection by the avian pathogenic colon bacillus. Also, according to the present invention, the bacteriophage EC14 does not infect other hosts except for the bacteria, such as a person, an animal, and a plant. So, the bacteriophage EC14 can solve a problem of an antibiotic resistant bacteria due to abuse of the antibiotic, a remaining problem of the antibiotic in food, and a problem of a wide host range.
