PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platelike decorative material which can prevent a plant material from being eliminated, and ash elution or the like from the plant material from occurring, make the most of a texture originated from the plant material, and exhibit a natural feeling.SOLUTION: This platelike decorative material is buried in a state that the plant material is dispersed in a base layer. In the platelike decorative material, the base layer comprises a dried object of a composition for base layer formation containing a bonding agent having a reactive functional group, and the plant material is surface-treated by a water-repellent processing material.
