The present disclosure is drawn to methods of destroying genetic material in laboratory environments. Steps include contacting a surface in a genetic laboratory that is contaminated with genetic material with a decontaminant composition comprising a transition metal or alloy thereof, an alcohol, a peroxygen, and water and maintaining contact between the decontaminant composition and the surface for a sufficient period of time to provide a reduction in genetic material on the surface.La présente invention concerne des procédés de destruction de matériel génétique dans des environnements de laboratoires.
