The pruning shears has a pair of blade (10,20) that are rotatably connected with each other through an articulation joint (13,23,30,41). A swivel bolt (32) is passed through respective articulation joints (13,23) of blades, such that the blades are defined in axial direction of the swivel bolt. Peripheral portions (34,35) are provided in axial direction of swivel bolt. The peripheral portion (34) is arranged over a limited angular range of rotation in the articulation joint (13) of blade (10), while the peripheral portion (35) is rotationally fixed in the bolt of blade (20).
