PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type disposable diaper that prevents the lateral leak of excretions, and avoids deterioration in the feelings of body fitness, diaper use or appearance, besides the easiness for a helper to assist a user in its wearing or the user to wear it without others help.SOLUTION: In this pants type disposable diaper 1A, a flexible front crotch material 60A arranged at a front crotch 66 is fixed in a stretched state at the area where the material 60A is not put on top of an absorptive body 22 located at the front crotch 66, so that the imaginary extension lines from the circumferences E1, E2 of leg opening parts 12 can mutually cross one another. A flexible rear crotch material 62 arranged at a rear crotch 68 is fixed in a stretched state along the both circumferences of the leg opening parts 12 located at the rear crotch 68.
