Provided is a method for providing surgical information using a surgical video. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining the surgical video for a specific surgery； recognizing a surgical step in the specific surgery corresponding to the surgical video； estimating a candidate organ group comprising at least one organ which can be extracted in the surgical step； and specifying an organ area in the surgical video on the basis of a positional relationship between organs in the candidate organ group.
