A new process of manufacturing a hybrid cannula may include creating a first part with at least two components, overmolding at least two components of a second part to a channel in each component of the first part, and fixing the components of the first part together. The second part may include various types of features such as thick/thin dams, squirt membranes, and/or duck bill dams inside the hybrid cannula. Each dam may have any number, shape, orientation, and length of slits/openings. The slits/openings may allow passage of an instrument while the dam(s) may prevent fluid from passing through the hybrid cannula. A third part may optionally be overmolded to at least a portion of the first part, at least a portion of the second part, or both. The third part may provide an extension, a flange, or a combination thereof at a distal end of the hybrid cannula.La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé de fabrication dune canule hybride qui peut comprendre la création dune première pièce comprenant au moins deux composants, le surmoulage dau moins deux composants dune deuxième pièce sur un canal dans chaque composant de la première pièce, et la fixation des composants de la première pièce ensemble. La deuxième pièce peut comprendre divers types de caractéristiques telles que retenues épaisses/fines, membranes à jet, et/ou retenues en bec de canard à lintérieur de la canule hybride. Chaque retenue peut avoir tout nombre, forme, orientation, et longueur de fentes/ouvertures. Les fentes/ouvertures peuvent permettre le passage dun instrument alors que la ou les retenues peuvent empêcher un fluide de passer à travers la canule hybride. Une troisième pièce peut éventuellement être surmoulée sur au moins une partie de la première pièce, au moins une partie de la deuxième pièce, ou les deux. La troisième pièce peut fournir une extension, une bride, ou leur combinaison à une extrémité distale de la canule hybride.
