Die Erfindung betrifft eine Zusammensetzung in Form einer Öl/Wasser-Emulsion zur Verwendung in der topischen Behandlung von Hautverletzungen, insbesondere zur Unterstützung der Wundheilung, die Verwendung spezieller SiO2-Teilchen für diese Anwendung und Verfahren zur Herstellung der Zusammensetzungen.Composition in the form of an oil or water emulsion comprises: (a) 50-90 wt.% water (b) 0.2-5 wt.% carboxymethyl cellulose (c) 0.05-1 wt.% preservative (d) 5-20 wt.% silicone oil and/or paraffin oil (e) 0.2-1.5 wt.% silicon dioxide particles having an average primary particle size of 5-50 nm and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area of 50-500 m 2>/g (f) 3-12 wt.% at least one water-miscible polyol (g) 0.5-5 wt.% oil or water emulsifier and (h) at least one organic acid in an amount sufficient to adjust pH of composition to 4-6, where total amount of components (a)-(h) is 100 wt.%. An independent claim is also included for preparing the compositions comprising mixing the components (a), (c), (e), (f) and (h), and mixing the components (d) and (g), and then subsequently (b) with this mixture.
