PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet resonance imaging apparatus which prevents image deterioration caused by a positional gap of an echo signal.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus 100 includes an RF coil, an execution unit, a calculation unit and a correction unit. The RF coil has a plurality of element coils. The execution unit executes pre-scanning for applying a lead-out gradient magnetic field and a slice direction gradient magnetic field as in a pulse sequence for main scanning. The calculation unit adds a plurality of echo signals collected via the plurality of elements by pre-scanning to calculate one phase correction amount for correcting phase difference in the plurality of echo signals to be collected in the main scanning.
