PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of improving strength of a clutch plate.SOLUTION: A clutch mechanism 20 comprises: a clutch plate 25 which is interlocked with the operation of a clutch lever 28 and movable to a clutch ON position in which a spool 5a is in a fishing line taking-up state and a clutch OFF position in which the spool 5a is in a fishing line release state; and a yoke 26 which is actuated by the movement of the clutch plate 25, moves a pinion 12 to a connection position at the clutch ON position, and moves the pinion 12 to a separation position at the clutch OFF position. The clutch plate 25 comprises a pair of cam pieces 252, 252 which extends across a shaft center O1 of a spool shaft 5 and is engaged with the yoke 26. The distal ends of the pair of cam pieces 252, 252 are connected by a connection part 256.
