PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for powder cosmetic preparations which can prevent makeup running over a long time by containing it in powder cosmetic preparations, and to provide a cosmetic preparation containing the same.SOLUTION: A powder for powder cosmetic preparations is made by holding a plant extract having a sebum secretion suppressive effect and/or astriction at least inside a pore of a porous powder and the powder cosmetic preparation contains the powder for powder cosmetic preparations concerned. The plant extract is further preferred to have a plant extract having one or two or more of effects selected from the group consisting of a moisturizing effect, a whitening effect, a cornification regulating effect, an elasticity improving effect and an anti-oxidant effect.
