PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Asplenium nidus extract used for producing an improving drug for prostatic disease, or a health food, and to provide a use thereof.SOLUTION: Asplenium nidus extract contains pyropheophorbide a methyl ester, pheophorbide a methyl ester, 1-linoleic acid-3-linolenic acid-glyceride, 1-linolenic acid-2,3-dipalmitate-glyceride, and 1,3-dipalmitate-glyceride. This extract is manufactured by the method comprising a solvent extraction step and a column chromatography step. The solvent extraction step uses one extraction solvent to extract from one sample of Asplenium nidus. The weight-volume ratio of the sample and the extraction solvent is 50-60 mg/ml. The column chromatography step is performed by mixing ethanol and water with the linear gradation to obtain a mobile phase, and performing a chromatographic separation process of the extract.
