When zero content of total ammonium nitrogen in water is reached, hydrobionts are planted in the water and cultivated. In the process of cultivation, the level of total ammonium nitrogen, dissolved oxygen and amount of activated sludge is controlled. When threshold values of activated sludge are reached, water with active sludge particles is drained from the pool. To fill the drained water into the pool, pure water is added until the amount of active sludge is brought to safe values for grown hydrobionts. Carbon-containing substances are periodically added to the water for feeding Bacillus subtilis microorganisms at ratio of 6–20 g of carbon per 1 g of nitrogen in water until the level of total ammonium nitrogen is reduced to a safe value for grown hydrobionts. When limit density of hydrobionts is achieved, they are transplanted into other pools. Device includes a pool, a drain pipe and a device for aeration of water, containing a gas pump, and installed on the bottom of the pool air sprayers, which through an air pipeline are connected to the pump.
