The present invention relates to a probiotic cosmetic formulation for the cosmetic treatment of the skin, comprising a microbiota and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. Preferably, betaines and/or prebiotic agents may be incorporated into said formulation. The invention also relates to the use of a microbiota in preparing said probiotic cosmetic formulation of the invention, and a method for the cosmetic treatment of the skin, which comprises administering to the skin of an individual the probiotic cosmetic formulation of the invention.La presente invención se refiere a una formulación cosmética probiótica para el tratamiento cosmético de la piel, que comprende una microbiota y un portador aceptable cosméticamente. Preferiblemente, betaínas y/o agentes prebióticos se pueden incorporar a la formulación. La invención también es concerniente con el uso de una microbiota en la preparación de la formulación cosmética probiótica de la invención y con un método para el tratamiento cosmético de la piel, que comprende administrar a la piel de un individuo la formulación cosmética probiótica de la invención.
