In particular, theinvention relates to a regulatory nucleotidesequence, at least part of which has a transcription initiation functiondirecting expression of an operably associated protein encodingpolynucleotide of interest to non-pollen tissue, but not or substantially notto pollen. The invention further relates tochimeric genes and expression cassettes comprising said regulatory sequenceand to transgenic plants comprising said chimericgenes and expression cassettes.
