Administration device for the administration of a liquid drug in adjustable doses, comprising:a) an injection unit (8), the injection unit (8) comprising• a manually operated dose setting means (5), wherein operating the manually operated dose setting means (5) sets an administration dose amount AD, and• a manually driven dosing mechanism (6),b) an electronic indication unit (25, 30), the indication unit (25, 30) indicating the relation between the administration dose amount AD and a target dose amount TD, the target dose amount TD being a dose amount that is intended for administration,the target dose amount TD being transmitted to the administration device from an external device via a data interface of the administration device or being calculated by a dose calculator of the administration device based on therapy-related data or being stored in the administration device as several alternative values for manual or automatic selection.
