The invention provides a surgical device for performing a controlled resection of the neck of a femur during a hip replacement procedure. The surgical device comprises a body portion having: a frame comprising an aperture dimension for receipt of a femoral head of the femur to position the body portion with respect to a centre of the femoral head； a resection guide for indicating a position of a resection plane on the femoral neck, and an arm extending between the frame and the resection guide. The body portion includes a linear alignment surface for alignment with a femoral shaft axis of the femur while the frame is mounted on the anterior or posterior aspect of the femoral head.L'invention concerne un dispositif chirurgical pour effectuer une résection contrôlée du col d'un fémur pendant une intervention de remplacement de la hanche. Le dispositif chirurgical comprend une partie corps ayant : un cadre comprenant une dimension d'ouverture pour la réception d'une tête fémorale du fémur pour positionner la partie corps par rapport à un centre de la tête fémorale ； un guide de résection pour indiquer une position d'un plan de résection sur le col du fémur, et un bras s'étendant entre le cadre et le guide de résection. La partie corps comprend une surface d'alignement linéaire pour l'alignement avec un axe de corps fémoral du fémur tandis que le cadre est monté sur l'aspect antérieur ou postérieur de la tête fémorale.
