PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition catalyst for hydrogen peroxide capable of sufficiently sterilizing contact lens as well as sufficiently reducing hydrogen peroxide residual concentration after a predetermined time has passed when being coexisted with contact lens in hydrogen peroxide solution and being manufactured simply.SOLUTION: There is provided a decomposition catalyst of hydrogen peroxide for sterilization of contact lens containing a carrier and a fine particle containing platinum fixed on a surface of the carrier and having average particle diameter of the fine particle of 1000 nm or less, preferably 300 nm or less. There is provided a catalyst having platinum carrying weight of 1 μg to 300 μg.
