The fixing device of the present invention is provided to superimpose, in the thickness direction, an elastic sheet that is transported in a transport direction and a low-extension sheet that has lower extension than the elastic sheet, and fix the sheets via multiple fixing parts. The fixing device comprises: a rotating member that rotates in the transport direction and has multiple projections on the outer surface thereof for forming the multiple fixing parts and a sandwiching member that is arranged at a prescribed location in the rotation direction of the rotating member and, when the projections pass the prescribed location, uses a surface part that is larger than the top surface of the projections to sandwich, in cooperation with the projections, the elastic sheet and the low-extension sheet so as to form the fixing parts.
