PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an intraoral camera capable of reducing size and weight of an optical system related to imaging.SOLUTION: An imaging device of the invention comprises: a lens; a movement mechanism for moving the lens toward an optical axis direction; an imaging element; and a controller for driving the movement mechanism for moving the lens to plural imaging positions from one side toward the other side of an infinity end and a close end, when an imaging instruction is input, and driving the imaging element when the lens is at the respective imaging position. In an oral cavity, it is difficult to image, so that it is difficult to focus on with high accuracy, when using an auto focus mechanism. According to the invention, however, for every input of the imaging instruction, the lens is moved to plural imaging positions in the optical axis direction and the images are acquired, so that the images which are in focus on can be acquired surely. According to the invention, since the auto focus mechanism is not used, so that the optical system related to the imaging can be made compact and lightweight.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5【課題】撮像に係る光学系を小型化および軽量化できる撮像装置および口腔内カメラを提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の撮像装置は、レンズと、前記レンズを光軸方向に移動させる移動機構と、撮像素子と、撮像指示が入力されると、移動機構を駆動してレンズを無限遠端および至近端の一方から他方に向かって複数の撮像位置に移動させ、レンズが各撮像位置にあるときに撮像素子を駆動するコントローラと、を備える。口腔内は、撮像しにくい環境となるため、オートフォーカス機構を用いると高い精度でピントを合わせることが難しい。しかし、本発明によれば、撮像指示の入力毎に、光軸方向の複数の撮像位置にレンズを移動させ、撮像画像を取得するので、ピントの合った画像を確実に取得できる。本発明によれば、オートフォーカス機構を用いないので、撮像に係る光学系を小型化および軽量化できる。【選択図】図5
