Provided is an water-in-oil type emulsified sunscreen cosmetic showing an excellent sufficient ultraviolet blocking effect, and an excellent stability of preventing-inhibiting odor deterionating with time.The water-in-oil type emulsified sunscreen cosmetic of this invention comprises (a) 0.2 to 10 mass% of octocrylene, (b) 0.2 to 30 mass% of titanium dioxide/zinc oxide subjected by a hydrophobic treatment, (c) 0.02 to 80 mass% of phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, and (d) a neutralizer of the above (c), further optional (e) 0.01 to 20 mass% of silicones surfactant.本發明係可提供一種充分發揮優異之紫外線遮蔽效果,且防止-抑制經時變臭之效果安定性亦優之油中水型乳化防曬化粧料。本發明之油中水型乳化防曬化粧料,其特徵在:含有(a)奧克立林(octocrylene)0.2至10質量%、(b)經實施疏水化處理之二氧化鈦及/或氧化鋅0.2至30質量%、(c)苯基苯并咪唑磺酸0.02至8質量%、及(d)上述(c)成分之中和劑,進一步依所希望含有(e)聚矽氧系界面活性劑0.01至20質量%。
