PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner providing a comfortable indoor environment, by optionally operating an electrostatic atomizer in response to a liking of a resident.
SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with: an electrostatic atomizer for generating electrostatic mist a control means for controlling an indoor unit and the electrostatic atomizer and a remote control device for remotely operating the indoor unit, and a cleaning button is arranged in the remote control device. Simultaneously when starting operation of the air conditioner, the electrostatic atomizer is operated, and when pushing down the cleaning button, the electrostatic atomizer is extension operated for a predetermined time even after stopping the operation of the air conditioner, and an indoor fan arranged in the indoor unit is continuously operated at a predetermined rotating speed.
