PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing and bacteriolysing bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus, having excellent sterilizing and bacteriolysing effects to the bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus and having high safety to a human body, and a sterilizing and bacteriolysing agent by utilizing the same.
SOLUTION: This method for sterilizing and bacteriolysing the bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus or their closely related species is provided by effecting solution obtained by dissolving &alpha-cyclodextrin or a methylated &beta-cyclodextrin with an aqueous solvent to the bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus or their closely related species. The new type sterilizing agent, antibacterial agent or bacteriolysing agent against these bacteria, and various uses by utilizing the above characteristics are also provided.
