PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroponic apparatus and a hydroponic method in which cultivation is carried out while movably floating a cultivation bed on a culture solution, and a root of a cultivated product can ingest nutrients and oxygen dissolved in the culture solution, and furthermore, oxygen can be directly taken from the contact air, and the cultivation bed can be repeatedly used by cutting irradiation of cultivation light to the culture solution and eliminating propagation of algae.SOLUTION: The hydroponic apparatus includes: a cultivation tank 10 for storing the culture solution while maintaining a required liquid depth culture solution supply management means 20 for supplying a culture solution into the cultivation tank 10 air supply means 30 for supplying air into the culture solution and a cultivation bed 40 having a fix planting hole 41a, holding a root base by inserting a root of a cultivated product P through the fix planting hole 41a, and floating on the culture solution in the cultivation tank 10. The cultivating bed 40 has: a fix planting member 41 having a settling hole 41a and a floating part 42 provided on the lower surface of the planting member 41.
