PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trench excavator capable of conducting the trench digging work appropriately.SOLUTION: A trench excavator 1 has a machine body 5 connecting with a tractor. The machine body 5 comprises: a trench excavating body 41 that digs the soil in a field to bore a trench while rotating around the rotation center axis a trench shaping body 42 that shapes the trench at the back in the traveling direction of the trench excavating body 41 and a cover body 81 that discharges the bored soil taken from the trench excavating body 41 from an opening 80 installed to cover the trench excavating body 41.
