PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaze point detection device that improves accuracy of detection.SOLUTION: A gaze point detection device includes: a distance calculation unit for calculating a distance between a position showing a pupil center of a subject and a position showing a cornea center of a subject, among calculation processing of information for use in detection of a gaze point of the subject to a diagnostic image an evaluation unit for evaluating whether or not the distance calculated by the distance calculation unit is within a predetermined range a gaze point detection unit for detecting the gaze point of the subject to multiple diagnostic images by using the distance calculated by the distance calculation unit and a processing control unit for controlling whether or not to cause the distance evaluation unit to calculate the distance to a second diagnostic image outputted after a first diagnostic image according to evaluation results by the evaluation unit. The gaze point detection unit calculates the gaze point to the second diagnostic image by using the first distance, when the first distance being the distance to the first diagnostic image is determined to be within a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
