PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abutment member, capable of achieving a prescribed elastic locking function and a rotation preventing function even when excessive rotating force is loaded.SOLUTION: The abutment member is for use in combination with an embedded fixing member. The abutment member includes a ceramic support, and a metal engagement member engaged between the ceramic support and the embedded fixing member. The metal engagement member includes a first engagement projection to prevent rotation to the embedded fixing member, a flange part, a second engagement projection engaged with an engagement recess to prevent rotation to the ceramic support, and a locking projection to be locked to a locking recess to achieve elastic locking force in this order from the side of the embedded fixing member. A wall member composing the locking projection is split to a plurality of overhang support pieces by axially extended slits.
