PURPOSE: An automatic running massage chair is provided to allow a user to operate a massage chair easily and simply in the light of the objective of using the massage chair for fatigue recovery and rest. CONSTITUTION: An automatic running massage chair a light emitting diode(10) which emits light； a massage roller(100) which blocks the light emitted from the light emitting diode and passes the light emitted from the light emitting diode therethrough by rotating on an axis when a load is applied thereto； a light receiving unit(20) which makes current flow in wires connected at both sides when receiving the light emitted from the light emitting diode； and a micro controller which runs the massage roller by receiving an operation signal when the current flows by the light receiving unit.본 발명은 안마의자에 관한 것으로서, 상세하게는 사용자가 좌석에 앉기만 하면 자동으로 운전을 개시하는 자동운전 안마의자에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명에 따른 안마의자는 광을 방출하는 광 방출 수단과, 상기 광 방출 수단에서 방출되는 광을 차단하고 있다가 일정한 하중이 가해지면 가해진 하중에 의해 일정 축을 중심으로 회전하여 상기 광 방출 수단에서 방출되는 광을 통과시키는 마사지 롤러와, 상기 광 방출 수단에서 방출되는 광을 받으면 양쪽에 연결된 전선에 전류를 흐르게 하는 광 수신 수단과, 상기 광 수신 수단에 의해 전류가 흐르면 구동신호가 입력되어 상기 마사지 롤러를 동작시키는 마이크로 컨트롤러를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
