A valve connector (1) for medical lines comprising a tubular body (2) having amale inlet fitting (3) with externalluer cone (14), which can be coupled to a female tubular fitting (5) withinternal luer cone (8), wherein the inlet fitting (3) comprisesan internally threaded external tubular element (10) for screwed engagementwith the female fitting (5), and an internal tubularelement (12) that can be displaced axially from a retracted position ofclosing to an advanced position of opening of the valve meansthat control the passage of flow through the connector (1). The internallythreaded external tubular element (10) is free to turn, andthe arrangement is such that, when it is screwed off the female fitting (5)and the passage of flow is closed by the valve means, theexternal luer cone (14) and the internal luer cone (8) remain axially coupledto one another by friction.
