The invention relates to a continuously operating washing machine meant for large-size fruits of the Cucurbitaceae family. According to the invention, the machine comprises a conveyor provided with some profiled rollers (1) the axles of which are mounted at each end on a link chain (2) moving at a rate of 2.55 m/min, to provide a washing time of 1.53 min and a rinsing time, as well as a time for drain of adhering water, of 0.47 min each, where the profiled rollers (1) rotate due to some chain wheels (20) which are mounted at both ends of the axles of the profiled rollers (1) and which, at the top active part of the conveyor with profiled rollers (1), engage with another link chain (12), to provide rotation of the rollers (1) and of the fruits placed thereon, while six rotary brushes (6) which rotate at 250 rpm ensure the effective removal of adhering earth, sand and other contaminants, a water piping system (4, 7 and 9) for a first washing operation I, for a second washing operation II and for rinsing, provided with some 180°-spraying heads, a protective case for the washing areas I and II and for the rinsing area and a collecting basin (13) at the bottom, which is partitioned with a view to separately collecting the water from the first washing I, from the second washing II and from rinsing, with the possibility of recycling the water from the second washing II and from rinsing, after a settling and, possibly, a chlorinating operation, in order for them to be used for the first washing I.Invenţia se referă la o maşină de spălat, cu funcţionare continuă, pentru fructele mari din familia cucurbitacee.
