PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-expandable indwelling stent which has sufficient expansion force and excellent follow-up ability to the deformation of a blood vessel.
SOLUTION: The indwelling stent 1 is roughly cylindrically and integrally formed by removing parts other than a linear part constituting the stent from a metal pipe capable of being given superelastic characteristics. Then, the stent 1 indicates the superelastic characteristics both before and after insertion into a living body, also each line width of the linear part of the stent 1 is 100 to 170 &mum, and the thickness of the linear part is 180 to 230 &mum. For the stent, a compression load for compressing the axial direction length of the stent for 20% is 10 to 20 gf. In other words, the stent can be compressed for 20% in the axial direction by the compression load of 10 to 20 gf.
