The additional cleaning element is distal attached to the carrier element by a movable connection. The carrier element exhibits a stop, which limits movability of the cleaning elements on the carrier element. The cleaning elements are made from a compressable material, and a container is provided with a sensor signaled by a sensor signal using an LED lamp. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning channels of medical instruments using a cleaning device.
